Cimarrón is a mountain located just south of Tegucigalpa. This ride is typical included as a Day 1 with Cabra Rides as a way to get acclimated to the climate and altitude. From the mid-point of the ascent, you can stop and look down on the city of Tegucigalpa.The two hour ascent up a rugged road takes you through pine forests to the typical pueblo of Cimarrón (which means ‘outlaw’ or ‘fugitive’) in Spanish. From Cimarrón, there is a vast network of single-track and options for rides that can last until you say “uncle”. Choses from trails like La Vaquita, El Caballo, and other routes that connect to the southern portions of Honduras.
